Highly Efficient Ni(II) α-diimine complexes supported on spherical periodic mesoporous organosilica for ethylene polymerization |
초록 |
Practical considerations have dictated that industrial olefin polymerizations be performed in the heterogeneous mode with supported catalysts even though homogeneous catalysts are highly efficient. Spherical periodic mesoporous organosilica (SPMO) was successfully synthesized and was utilized as an effective support to covalently anchor the Ni(II) α-diimine complexes. SPMO supported Ni catalyst could be used to polymerize ethylene with activities exceeding 106 g PE mol-Ni-1 h-1 bar-1 using ethylaluminum sesquichloride as inexpensive cocatalyst when compared to others. Thermal stability of the catalysts could be considerably increased on immobilization. With SPMO catalyst, polymers with well defined morphology could be obtained. |
