제목 A new cathode for reduced-temperature molten carbonate fuel cells
초록 To enhance cell performance of molten carbonate fuel cell, metal oxide (material A) was coated on porous cathode sheet by infiltration method. The coated cathode cell of 9.5wt% material A shows significant performance with maximum power density of 130mW.cm-2, in the order of about 44% compared to uncoated cell at low operating temperature of 550oC. Low wetting nature of molten salt on material A creates thinner electrolyte film on coated agglomerate surface in order of 0.6 which results in an impressive effect to reduce total polarization resistance of  coated cells. Material stability studied by immersion test in molten salt during more than 1000 hours confirms the highly stable performance of long term operation at low operating temperature of 620oC in 2000 hours.
