The development of high performance, flexible, and transparent electrode have recently attracted great attentions for application in flexible optoelectronic devices. Recently, random networks of silver nanowire (AgNW) films have been widely investigated as alternative to indium tin oxide (ITO) due to its excellent conductivity, high transparency, and flexibility. However, further development has been limited because the formation of randomly oriented network is inevitable, resulting in high contact resistance at the nanowire junctions and low transmittance due to light scattering of random nanowire assembly. Here we introduce the facile and cost-effective approach to align and assemble AgNWs by solution based printing technique by using patterned polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) stamp. With this method, over 90% of coated AgNWs can be well-aligned over large area. In addition, the alignment degree is tunable by controlling the coating speed and NW density. As a result, transparent electrode based on aligned AgNWs demonstrates excellent sheet resistance, optical transmittance, and mechanical compliance. |
