제목 Physical Properties of the Polyamide Monomers from Natural Oils
초록 TPEs (thermoplastic elastomers) are well-known engineering plastics because of the advantage of both being plastic and rubbery materials as well as their superior qualities to either rubbers or plastics. Among TPEs, synthetic polyamides have a wide range of applications and the demands for their production are increasing due to their high strength, toughness, and thermal stability.
We have developed a versatile and efficient process for the monomers of polyamides from various natural oils. Correlation of the physical properties of the polymers with the corresponding monomers is studied with differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). Thermal behavior of monomer is closely related to chain length of monomer.
