Large-scale Production of α,ω-Dicarboxylic Acid and ω-Amino Acid Monomers for TPEs from Vegetable Oils |

TPEs (Thermoplastic Elastomers) are well-known engineering plastics due to their advantages of both being plastic and rubbery materials. Because most of the monomers for TPEs were produced conventionally from petrochemicals, demands for eco-friendly process are nowadays increasing. We have previously reported a novel divergent process to synthesize several α,ω-dicarboxylic acid and ω-amino acid monomers for TPEs from vegetable oils. Large-scale production of the monomers is essential for various industrial applications. Herein we report a study on improvement of the process that is suitable for the large-scale production. |
