The influence of cross-sectional distribution patterns of the anion exchange functional groups on the property of anion exchange membranes prepared by a radiation grafting method |
초록 |
The several anion exchange membranes with a similar degree of grafting (DOG) were prepared by simultaneous irradiation grafting of vinylbenzyl chloride monomer onto poly(ethylene-alt-tetrafluoroethylene) (ETFE) and poly(tetrafluoroethylene-co-perfluoroalkoxy vinyl ether) (PFA) using γ-ray and subsequent amination. The SEM-EDX instrument was utilized to investigate the cross-sectional distribution of the anion exchange functional group in the prepared membranes. The results indicated that the PFA based anion exchange membranes showed the dent distribution and ETFE based membranes showed the uniform distribution of the anion exchange groups over the cross-section of the membranes. The ion-exchange capacity, water uptake, mechanical property, and ion-conductivity of the prepared anion exchange membranes were studied in this study. |
