Inorganic nanomaterials are traditionally produced by chemical and physical methods, but biological synthesis using microorganism is also receiving great attention. Recently, valuable chemical production using a nanobiohybrid as a photocatalytic system, which consists of inorganic nanomaterial and biological components, is attractive because it may enable the sustainable production of chemicals under light irradiation. Here, we report fabrication method of biogenic inorganic nanomaterials-bacteria nanobiohybrid and optimize the nanobiohybrid synthetic conditions by varying concentrations of inorganic ions and the types of precursors. Also, biogenic inorganic nanomaterial-bacteria nanobiohybrid was developed to produce ammonia under ambient conditions. The strategy described here will be helpful in establishing a platform for the fabrication of inorganic nanomaterial-bacteria nanobiohybrid system.
