Facile Synthesis of Optical Dendrimers Grown-up with Triazole Coupling |

Dendritic molecule was investigated with optical functionalities on the periphery for the electro-optical applications. A lot of attached functional groups and globular arrangement from a dendrimer structure are expected to improve electrical and optical properties. The synthesis of optical dendrimer was carried out through two steps including preferential formation of dendritic core and successive chromophore attachment. Triazole coupling reaction was utilized using dipolar cycloaddition of alkyl azide and triple bond to synthesize higher order dendrons. The dendrimer was finally established via convergent synthetic method and characterized with physical and optical analysis. |
