제목 Highly Conjugated Benzimidalzole Derivatives as Semiconducting Materials for Organic Thin Film Transistor
초록 Organic semiconducting materials with high field effect mobility for organic thin film transistor (OTFT) have been extensively investigated. Among them small molecules are potential candidates for FET application because single molecules have advantages in the control of electron transport and in the exploration of the vast variety of molecular functions for electronic devices. In this study various benzimidalzole derivatives were synthesized by condensation of aromatic dicarboxylic acid or dicarboxyaldehyde and 1,2-diamino aromatic compounds, respectively. These benzimidazoles have highly conjugated structures and are resistant to external environments such as heat, moisture and light. Field effect transistor (FET) was made using benzimidazoles as active layer and device characteristics were measured.
