제목 | Titanium oxide Nanoparticles - decorated Zinc Oxide Nanowires for P-type Devices |
초록 | The heterostructures of titanium oxide Nanoparticles (TiO)-decorated zinc oxide (ZnO) nanowires were synthesized and applied for ultraviolet (UV) sensors. ZnO nanowires were grown on a nickel (Ni) foil by a chemical vapor deposition method. Various thick Ti films were coated around the grown ZnO nanowires. Rapid thermal treatment was performed, which causes phase changes of TiOX(x<2) - decorated ZnO core-shell structures. Under UV illumination on TiOX - decoated ZnO NW core-shell structure, electrons are donated to ZnO NW resulting in hole-dominant condition along the TiOX coating layer. It gives the reverse UV response from the ZnO NW. It has been found that the decrease of UV response by increasing Ti films, which is explained to the reduction of photo-generated carriers in the thick TiO2 coating layer. This indicates that the potential to realize p type ZnO NWs with TiOX coating. |
