제목 Electrochemical performances of O2 type cathode material in lithium ion battery at extremely high voltage region
초록 To date, researches on cathode materials in lithium ion battery with high capacity and capable of operating at high voltage are actively conducted. Currently the commercially available cathode material has an oxygen layer arrangement of O3 type, and when charged in the high voltage region, the transition metal moves into the lithium layer and the phase changes irreversibly. It greatly inhibits the reversibility of the structural change of the materials and leads to performance degradation such as voltage decay and hysteresis during charge and discharge. However, when
the arrangement of the oxygen layer is changed to the O2 type, the phase transition in the high voltage region is reversibly changed during charge and discharge. So our research discovered new electrochemical behavior in O2 type materials at extremely high voltage region.
