Improvement of anti-scratching performance of PMMA/aluminum hydroxide composite by organic-inorganic hybrid coating |
초록 |
Aluminum hydroxide(AH)-filled poly(methyl methacrylate)(PMMA) composites are used in various building applications because of its texture of natural stone and easy manufacturing. However, PMMA/AH composites show the inferiority in anti-scratching performance inevitably compared with the natural stones due to the polymeric matrix. The organic-inorganic hybrid coating solutions were synthesized using various inorganic colloids such as colloidal silica, colloidal alumina, and colloidal titania. The anti-scratching performance of PMMA/AH composite was significantly improved by hybrid coating resulting from the interfacial modification between organic and inorganic components. |
