제목 Synthesis of poly(ethylene oxide) -b- poly(N-vinyl pyrrolidinone) viaRAFT radical polymerization
초록 We have successfully synthesized PEO-basedwater-soluble block copolymer via transformation reaction from anionic to RAFT radical. We synthesized ω-brominated poly(ethylene oxide) by living anionic ring opening polymerization of ethylene oxide, followed by synthesis of PEO-based RAFT agent via chain-end functionalization of the resulting polymeric alkoxide. Using the PEO-based RAFT agent and AIBN as the initiating system, RAFT radical polymerization of N-vinyl pyrrolidinone(VP) was performed in DMF at 110 ℃ for 72 h under argon. The resulting solution was precipitated in excess diethyl ether and then filtered to get a precipitate. After unreacted RAFT agent was removed via selective precipitation in THF, the resultant brown powder was filtered and dried in vaccum oven at room temperature for at least 24 h. In this presentation, we will report the results for the synthesis and characterization of the formed block copolymer.
