Synthesis of Gradient Copolymer By Anionic Copolymerization of Carbazole Derivative and Styrene |
초록 |
Anionic copolymerization of N-ethyl-3-vinylcarbazole(NE3VC) with styrene produce gradient copolymer. The NE3VC was prepared from the Wittig reaction of 9-ethyl-3-carbazolcarboxaldehyde using phosphonium ylide. The yield was 78% on the basis of the incipient amount used. The rate of anionic homopolymerization of NE3VC was found to be so slow even in THF at –78℃. The gradient copolymer obtained from copolymerization of NE3VC and styrene in THF at -78℃ was characterized by the combination of size exclusive chromatographic and 1 H NMR spectroscopic analysis. This results for copolymerization will be reported in this presentation. |
