Fabrication of CuxS-covered Cu(In,Ga)(S,Se)2 photocathode for photocatalytic H2 evolution |
초록 |
CuxS-covered Cu(In,Ga)(S,Se)2 (CIGSSe) film was synthesized through cost-effective solution process. The chalcogenization consisting of simultaneous selenization and sulfurization followed by additional sulfurization using Cu-rich precursor film resulted in the naturally formed CuxS phase at the CIGSSe film surface. In addition, the formation of CuxS phase increased S content of CIGSSe film. The catalytic activity of CuxS for hydrogen evolution reaction from water was demonstrated in dark condition. Furthermore, increase in S content lowered valence band maximum of CIGSSe resulting in anodic shift of onset potential. The highest photocurrent density of 11 mA∙cm-2 at 0 VRHE under 1.5 AM illumination was achieved from a CIGSSe photocathode in an absence of any n-type overlayer and electrocatalyst. |
