Field induced Electroluminescence of hybrid polymer blend with SWNTs composite |

High performance organic electro-luminescence (OEL) device was developed with four stacked layers of top metal electrode/thin solution-processed nanocomposite film of single wall carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) and fluorescence polymer blend/insulator/transparent bottom electrodes working under alternating current (ac) electric field. The white luminescence intensity was enhanced more than 10 times by small amount of SWNTs, highly dispersed in the matrix with help of a conjugate block copolymer dispersant, giving rise to approximately 300 cd/m2 at applied voltage and AC frequency of 25V and 300 kHz, respectively. Our device provided very straightforward method to fabricate device structures which have a very cost effective and simply solution-processed device architecture. |
