Immobilization of quantum dots onto poly(acrylic acid)-patterned polymer surface prepared by radiation grafting technique |
초록 |
In this study, an efficient patterning method of quantum dots (QDs) on a polymer surface by using ion irradiation-induced graft polymerization was described. The surface of PTFT films were selectively activated by ion irradiation through a pattern mask and acrylic acid was then graft polymerized on the selectively-activated PTFE surface. QDs was covalently immobilized on the poly(acrylic acid)-grafted regions of the PTFE surface. The analytical results for the chemical structure and wettability of the grafted PTFE films verified the occurrence of the graft polymerization on the irradiated surfaces. The fluorescence microscopic analysis revealed that QDs were successfully immobilized on the grafted regions of the PTFE surface and therefore resulting in well-defined patterns of QDs on the polymer surface. |
