Synthesis and Self-assembly of Coil2Rod-Type Miktoarm Star Copolymers of Poly(3-hexylthiophene) and Poly(methyl methacrylate) |
초록 |
Poly(3-hexylthiophene)-b-poly(methyl methacrylate) diblock copolymer (P3HT-b-PMMA) usually self-assembled into fibril or lamellae due to strong rod-rod interaction. Therefore, It is challenging to form various morphologies depending on volume fraction of P3HT (wP3HT). Here, we introduce a new approach to obtain various microdomains by using well-defined A2B miktoarm star copolymer composed of PMMA and P3HT (PMMA2P3HT). We found via small angle X-ray scattering and transmission electron microscopy that PMMA2P3HT showed P3HT cylinder packed hexagonally in the matrix of PMMA for wP3HT = 0.33. This is due to much reduction of the rod-rod interaction in PMMA2P3HT compared with P3DDT-b-PMMA diblock copolymers. |
