제목 Synthesis of Graphene Sheets Containing Magnetic Nanoparticles
초록 The chemical and electronic properties of graphene can be modulated by effective coupling of this material with other nanomaterials. The best functionalization strategies try to accomplish coupling of materials with minimum perturbation to inherent properties of graphene. This poster presents the design and application of pyrene based ligands which couple nanomaterials to graphene surface through non-covalent π-π stacking interaction. Ligands with different spacer lengths couple to graphene through pyrene moiety. The other end of the ligand is substituted with dopamine whose hydroxyl groups have an affinity for oxidic nanoparticles. The distance between nanoscale components in hybrid materials play a crucial role in governing their transport properties. We present here the synthesis, and characterization of pyrene based coupling ligands of different spacer lengths. We also present the results from some early experiments on the formation of graphene attached with γ-Fe2O3 nanohybrids.
