CeO2 has been a variety of applications in catalysis, UV shielding materials, electrode for solid fuels and optical devices. Cerium oxide has unique Ce4+/Ce3+ redox cycles which depends on the concentration of oxygen vacancies in the lattice structure. In this study, CeO2 nanoparticles were synthesized using C2H6O2/H2O mixture solvent. The average size of prepared CeO2 was about in the size range of 15-35nm. As the water ratio increased, the average crystal size is increased. The CeO2 nanoparticles morphology, average particle size and components were characterized by SEM, XRD and EDS. |
