제목 Synthesis and Characterization of N-acyl Glycol Chitosans as a New Thermogelling Polymer for Biomedical Applications
초록 A series of thermo-sensitive N-acyl glycol chitosans were synthesized by a simple one-step N-acylation of glycol chitosan with acetic anhydrides and hexanoic anhydrides. N-acyl glycol chitosans with different molecular weights of hydrophobic groups and degree of acylation (DA) were synthesized to improve their hydrophobicity and stability. The chemical structures and viscoelastic properties of N-acylation of glycol chitosans were characterized by FT-IR, 1H-NMR and rheometer. The influence of molecular weight of hydrophobic group and degree of acetylation was studied by tube inverting method on the thermo-sensitive sol-gel transition properties of N-acyl glycol chitosans. Biocompatible and thermo-sensitive N-acyl glycol chitosans hold great promise serving as new in-situ thermogelling platforms for various biomedical applications.
