The next generation electronics need to not only be smaller but also be more flexible. To meet such demands, two dimensional (2D) atomic crystals such as graphene, hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) and transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs) have been attracted intensely. Furthermore, the 2D atomic crystals leading to high surface-to-volume ratio and outstanding conductivity has been applied for gas molecule sensing with fully utilizing its unique transparent and flexible functionalities which cannot be expected from solid-state gas sensors. In this talk, I will present the gas sensing studies of various 2D crystals based field effect transistors (FETs) accompanied with flexibility and transparency. |
