제목 Techno-economic Assessment of Power-to-Methanol Process
초록 Methanol synthesis via three types of electrolyzer (i.e. proton exchange membrane electrolyzer, alkaline electrolyzer, and solid oxide electrolyzer cell) is assessed and compared with conventional methanol synthesis from coal and natural gas. Each electrolyzer has typical capital and operating costs, which will influence the economic feasibility of the whole process and methanol price in different ways. All electrolyzer models use the same plant design capacity 50,000 kg H2/day for a fair comparison. The results of this study are expected to contribute as decision-making material and thereby facilitating the commercialization of power-to-methanol.
