Synthesis and Characterization of Substituent Position-Induced Color Tunable Ir(III) Complexes for Phosphorescent Organic Light-Emitting Diodes |
초록 |
We have designed and synthesized a series of heteroleptic Ir(III) complexes named as [(o-CF3DPQ)2Ir(pic)], [(m-CF3DPQ)2Ir(pic)], and [(p-CF3DPQ)2Ir(pic) with varying the position of –CF3 unit on the main ligand, diphenyl quinoline, for orange phosphorescent organic light emitting diodes (PhOLEDs). The optical properties of all complexes exhibit a little difference of absorption wavelength and the photoluminescence (PL) emission maximum of [(m-CF3DPQ)2Ir(pic)] was similar to [(p-CF3DPQ)2Ir(pic)] at 565 nm and 573 nm, respectively. Especially, the PL emission peak of [(o-CF3DPQ)2Ir(pic)] shows 620 nm which indicates more red shift in emission wavelength than the other complexes. The PL quantum yield (PLQY) and thermal stability of [(p-CF3DPQ)2Ir(pic)] are superior than its counterparts with PLQY of 84% and decomposition temperature (Td) of 347 oC. The newly synthesized orange Ir(III) complexes are characterized by UV-vis, TGA and cyclic voltammetry experiments. |
