The practical use of biomechanical energy has been demonstrated in the flexible single crystal PMN-PZT energy harvester. Using flexible PMN-PZT piezoelectric energy harvester, it shows self-powered wireless data transmission activated by in vivo biomechanical energy derived from heart motion in large animal models. In constriction and relaxation of pig heart, the single crystal flexible energy harvester produced an open circuit voltage of 17.8V and a short circuit current 1.74μA, 4.45 and 17.4 times higher. Piezoelectric energy harvest Various cell viability tests and histological methods were carried out to show the biocompatibility of PMN-PZT flexible energy harvester, which showed no signs of biological damage and inflammatory reactions. Finally, it was possible to collect pig heart beat energy and transmit communication data wirelessly using a self-driving system. It has also been visually proven that the bulb is turned on and off repeatedly over a distance of about 5 meters without any other power source. This successful self-driving data transmission shows its potential application to insertable biomedical devices that use direct biomechanical energy. |
