Microwave-Assisted Synthesis of SnO2 Nanoparticles and Their Applications in Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells |
초록 |
SnO2 nanoparticles with tunable morphologies and band energy levels were obtained based on the facile, fast and energy saving microwave-assisted synthesis for the photoanode material in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) and the high photovoltaic performance of up to 3.2% under 1 sun illumination condition was achieved, which is among the highest values reported for the cells based on unmodified SnO2 nanomaterials. The morphology control was achieved through the variation of precursors which are known to have a strong influence on the growth process of SnO2 nanostructures. The highest photovoltaic performance of SnO2 DSSCs was attributed from the morphology control of SnO2 nanoparticles and SnO2 DSSCs based on rod and rod/particle mixtures exhibited faster electron transport and longer electron lifetime when compared with conventional DSSCs based on TiO2 nanostructure. In addition, possible band energy shift would result in higher Voc when compared with previously reported SnO2 DSSCs. |
