제목 In vivo imaging of endogenous hydrogen sulfide in paw inflammation model
초록 Hydrogen sulfide (H2S), the third endogenous gasotransmitter, following nitric oxide and carbon monoxide, plays an important role in various physiological and pathological processes. However, imaging techniques for the non-invasive monitoring of H2S are very limited. Herein, we report a new type of a nuclear imaging technique for  the detection of endogenous H2S in live animals. Our newly designed radioactive 64Cu-based probes are highly sensitive and selective in terms of detection of H2S. The most promising probe, 64Cu-cyclen, was injected into paw inflammation models, and an increased concentration of endogenous H2S in the inflamed paw was clearly visualized and quantified precisely using nuclear imaging techniques. Moreover, no noticeable toxicity at the injected dose was observed for up to 30 days in animal experiments.
