제목 | Comparisons of an Extended Critical-Scaling Equation with Cubic Equations of State through Vapor/Liquid Equilibria (VLE) |
초록 | A method to extend the region of validity of the critical-scaling equations (CSEs) is presented and tested for the fits to the vapor/liquid equilibria (VLE) of carbon dioxide, water, and methanol. CSEs are valid near the critical point. Hence, for their validity to be extended, some modifications of them should be made. For this matter a nonlinear order parameter (OP) is employed. The modified CSE with the highly nonlinear OP is converted so that linear regression procedures can be applied to the fits. It fits the VLEs very accurately and virtually traces them. |
