Mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSNs) have been extensively studied in the areas of bioimaging, biosensing and drug delivery because of their large surface area and controllable pore size and volume. Carbon nanodots (CDs) have done a lot of research in the fields of biolabeling, biosensing, and optoelectronic devices, because of their excellent photostability, high water solubility, low toxicity, and biocompatibility. Poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAM) has been studied in the field of drug delivery and tunable optics due to its temperature response characteristics. In this study, we prepared mesoporous silica nanoparticles hybridized with CD and PNIPAM. MSN@CDs covered with PNIPAM was obtained by polymerization of NIPAM on the MSN@CDs in which vinyl groups were introduced on the surface. |
