제목 Microwave-Induced Overgrowth of Nanoparticles Synthesized in Ionic Liquids
초록 Combining microwave irradiation (MWI) with ionic liquids (IL) has been considered cutting-edge advancement in nanomaterials synthesis. However, we disclose that MWI can pose limitations on the chemical stability of ILs, which in turn leads to the destruction of IL matrix. As a result, upon MWI, the nanoparticles in ILs begin to aggregate, agglomerate, and overgrow to micrometric particles. Through comparative studies, we demonstrate the overgrowth mechanism.
