Effect of Ionic Liquid environment on Solid Support for Solid Phase Peptide Synthesis |

Ionic liquid (IL) environment was prepared on chloromethyl polystyrene resin using functionalized IL derivative. IL environments have an influence on property of solid support according to their polarity. One case of the effects is that swelling property of IL resins was dramatically changed when counter anion of IL was exchanged. To identify IL environment effect in peptide synthesis, we measured first amino acid coupling kinetics and synthetic efficiency on IL resins. IL resins composed of TFSI and PF6 anion showed better efficiency than other resins and AM resin. |
