Nitrogen monoxide gas sensing characteristics of graphene embedded carbon nanofiber prepared by heat-treatment |

In this study, nitrogen monoxide gas sensing characteristics of graphene embedded carbon nanofiber was investigated. The graphene embedded carbon nanofiber was prepared by electro-spinning with mixtures of polyacrylonitrile and various quantities of graphene oxide. An as-spun fiber was stabilized and carbonized. Morphology of the as-spun nanofiber and the graphene embedded carbon nanofiber were assessed by SEM. Additionally, a XRD analysis was conducted to compare crystallinity of the graphene oxide embedded nanofiber with the carbon nanofiber. The changes of specific surface area and pore size distribution in the carbon nanofiber prepared depend on quantity of graphene was evaluated by 77 K nitrogen adsorption. Also, nitrogen monoxide gas sensing of the graphene embedded carbon nanofiber was assessed according to resistive response. The gas sensing results exhibited diverse aspects depend on quantity of graphene oxide. |
