제목 Fabrication and Properties of Anti-scratch Polycarbonate Containing Acrylate Group
초록 Polycarbonate has many advantages like mechanical, electrical, and thermal properties. These properties are available to be used in various industrial fields. However, it has a disadvantage about surface scratch. Recently, some sensitive properties, particularly- scratch resistance of polymer material is more important than in the past. Therefore, our purpose of study is to improve anti-scratch properties for using in automobile, sheet, and portable equipment. The interfacial polymerizations were conducted in methylenechloride and water using triphosgene, triethylamine (TEA), tetra butyl ammonium chloride (TBAC), and 4,4’-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)-valeric acid (BHPV). The valeric acid polymer was converted into acrylate form with iodomethane. Chemical structure and thermal properties of copolycarbonates were measured by 1H NMR, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The anti-scratch property was investigated by pencil hardness testing.
