Influence of Nucleating Agents on Crystallization Kinetics of Polybutene-1 and Their Mechanical Properties. |

Polybutene-1 (PB-1) is widely used polyolefins for pipes of constructions, package and easy peel films because of its good creep resistance, flexibility, and durability. Many polymer processing companies which produce PB-1 plumbing materials have been interested in enhancement of productivity in their fields. In order to reduce overall crystallization time we tried to examine three kinds of nucleating agents (NA). Also we investigated that nucleating agent influence upon the crystal pattern, and crystallization kinetics since PB-1 is polymerphism polymer with four kinds of crystal patterns. Especially we observed time resolved WAXS to find out of their crystal changes with NA. Finally we showed that relationships between mechanical properties and different crystal pattern of PB-1 with NA. |
