제목 Hyaluronic Acid-Based Self-Aggregates Bearing Iron Oxide Nanoparticles as a Multimodal Imaging Probe
초록 In recent years, multimodal imaging techniques have received increasing attention because they allow early detection of inveterate diseases such as cancer, arthrosclerosis, and rheumatoid arthritis The aim of this study was to develop a potential multimodal imaging probe which can be selectively accumulated into the tumor tissue in vivo. The fluorescent dye, Cy 5.5, was chemically conjugated to the amphiphilic hyaluronic acid (HA) capable of being self-assembled into the nano-sized self-aggregates in an aqueous environments. The iron oxide nanoparticles were stably encapsulated within the Cy5.5-labeled hyaluronic acid-based nanoparticles. This encapsulation process did not disturb the magnetization properties of the encapsulated nanoparticles. The nanoparticles showed a potential as the multimodial imaging probe for optical and MR imaging techniques.
