제목 Effect of graphene oxide sheets on diffusion dynamics of polymer thin films
초록 Graphene-based nanomaterials have been in interest due to enhancement of polymer’s physical properties embedding the graphene oxide (GO). The interaction between the GO and polymers significantly affects the polymer dynamics in confined system. In this work, we used polymer thin films sandwiched between GO monolayers as a model composite system to quantitatively measure the mobility change of polymers near GO surfaces. We investigated two different investigated two different interaction, namely, a strongly attractive and a weakly attractive interaction. Polymer mobility of confined GO systems was analyzed a neutron reflectivity technique. The diffusion dynamics was compared as a function of polymer bilayer thicknesses. Consequently, when the film is thin (~1 Rg), diffusion coefficient decreases for poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) thin films sandwiched between GO sheets. This is due to strongly attractive interaction between the GO and PMMA.
