Novel Dyeing Methods for Dyeing Cotton and Polyester |
초록 |
A new method of dyeing cotton with selected reactive dyes by long-liquor processes under neutral conditions was introduced. The dyes, containing the “block” vinyl sulphone residues such as sulphatoethylsulphone or chloroethylsulphone precursor groups, were preactivated to the highly reactive vinyl sulphone form in a mild alkali treatment. The covalent bond formation reaction between the preactivated dyes and cotton after this activation occurs in the neutral conditions. Polyester fibres were also dyed using supercritical carbon dioxide at pressures between 10 -33 MPa and in the temperature range of 35 - 150oC. The amount of equilibrium sorption of dye increased with pressure as well as temperature. A short liquor ratio (5:1) reduces the use of electrolyte and the amount of energy required to heat the dyeing solution, and scCO2 instead of water for dyeing textile can potentially eliminate the water consumption and waste production and reduce the energy consumption. |
