제목 A new bilayer template for enhanced spectral sensitivity of near-infrared sensitive organic solar cells based on a PbPc–C60 donor–acceptor pair
초록 Lead phthalocyanine (PbPc) is a promising donor material for near infrared (NIR) sensitive organic solar cells due to its excellent chemical stability and high absorption coefficient in the spectral region from 550 nm to 1000 nm. We demonstrate that a new bilayer composed of zinc phthalocyanine on copper iodide (CuI) used in a PbPc–C60 donor–acceptor pair is a multifunctional template layer as follows: the use of the bilayer (i) induces the formation of PbPc crystallites in triclinic phase, which is favorable for enhanced optical absorption in the NIR spectral region, (ii) facilitates the dissociation of CT excitons by reducing their binding energy, and (iii) does not increase thermalization energy loss while notably improving the spectral sensitivity by (i) and (ii). As a result, the bilayer-templated device has superior performance of Jsc = 10.5 mA/cm2 and PCE = 3.1%, which are higher by 59% and 69% than those of the non-templated control device.
