제목 | Synergistic effect on Antioxidant activity of Ethanol Organosolv Lignin and Myricetin Mixture |
초록 | Although flavonoids are powerful antioxidants, they are too expensive to use. Lignin, one of the major component of biomass, is produced as a by-product and it has antioxidant activity. Three kinds of ethanol organosolv lignins (EOLs) were obtained from sweet sorghum bagasse (SSB) depending on extraction conditions (EOL-H, M and L). EOL produced under harsher condition contains more phenolic-OH and EOL-H showed remarkable antioxidant activity, though myricetin was much stronger than all EOLs. When each EOL was mixed with myricetin, the synergistic effect arose in certain mixing ratio and EOL-H had wider range of ratio than EOL-M and L. Considering these properties, it seems that EOL has the potential of being used as a co-antioxidant.
