Dye sensitized solar cells(DSSCs) have attracted a great deal of interest, as they offer high energy-conversion efficiencies at low cost. In this work, we synthesized a series of triphenylamine-Based dyes and described their characterization, photoelectrocheimical properties for the application of organic dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). The chromophore consists of a triphenylamine moiety as an electron donor, a thiophene moiety as a conjugated linker and cyanoacrylic acid as an electron acceptor. We also studied the effect of dye molecular structures, electrochemical properties of dyes and DSSC performance. |
