Solution-Processed DPP Copolymer Semiconductor for High-Performance Organic Field-Effect Transistors. |

The search for organic semiconductors to replace silicon-based semiconductors in thin-film transistor (TFT) backplanes has been impressively carried out. Attention has been focused on simple and reproducible way of producing organic field-effect transistors (OFETs). Especially, conjugated polymeric semiconductors enable to form film facilely by solution-deposition techniques. Their solution processability has potential applications for mass production of flexible, low-cost, large-area devices. Here, we report newly synthesized polymeric semiconductors PDPPDBTE & PDPPDTSE, the enhancement in field-effect mobility achieved through donor-acceptor copolymer concept. It was observed that field-effect mobility of the OFET device based on PDPPDBTE & PDPPSTSE were up to 2.77cm2/Vs, 4.97 cm2/Vs. We believe that our findings can compete with silicon-based semiconductors and take us one step closer towards the progress of high performance and reproducible solution-processed organic TFTs. |
