제목 Optical properties of the inorganic/organic nanocomposite films prepared by 3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane and water-soluble ZnSe quantum dots capped by 1-thioglycerol
초록 Colloidal ZnSe quantum dots (QDS) with blue emission (400 ~ 460 nm) have attracted considerable attention during the past decade due to their possible applications for light-emitting diodes (LED) and component for functional nanocomposite materials. In the QDs science, it is hot issue to control their properties such as emission spectra, size distribution, morphology, stability, processability, and surface functionality. The high-quality monodispersed ZnSe QDs have been generally grown by solvothermal reactions in hydrophobic organic surfactant solutions at 200 ~ 300oC. However, the QDs capped by hydrophobic ligands might be not compatible with biological systems or hydrophilic polymer media. Therefore, the synthesis of water-soluble ZnSe QDs by ligand exchange reaction with hydroxyl group terminated orgonothiol and then development of organic-inorganic nanocomposite films with a high optical density is the main focus of this work. Water-soluble ZnSe QDs (2 ~ 10 nm) were synthesized at 300oC by the reaction between Zn(ac)2 and TOP-Se in hexadecylamine (HDA), followed by ligand exchange reaction. The nanocomposite films with different compositions were prepared by incorporating the QDs into the matrices synthesized from 3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane (APS). The characteristics of the QDs were measured by XRD, TEM, and the optical properties of the nanocomposite films were discussed by FT-IR, UV/VIS and prism coupler.
