Two new polymers, PbiTz-DFQx and PbiTz-DTDFQx, which contained thiophene-substituted and non-thiophene-substituted quinoxaline unit respectively, were designed and synthesized by stille coupling reaction. Polymers can be dissolved in chlorobenzene and 1,2-dichlorobenzene(o-DCB) at elevated temperature. These polymers showed an optical bandgap of 1.47eV to 1.54eV, with highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) energy of -5.00eV to -5.08eV. Since Voc value is related to difference in HOMO energy level of donor unit and LUMO energy level of acceptor unit, it would result in bad Voc. PbiTz-DFQx showed high value of Jsc 7.40mA/cm2 becaued of broad UV-vis absorption region, which effect the light absorption. On the other hand, Voc and FF had low value. As a result. The efficiency of PbiTz-DFQx was achieved 0.87% of power conversion efficiencies, Voc of 0.50eV, Jsc of 7.40mA/cm2, FF of 0.22%. |
