Details of the Chain Transfer Reaction during Radical Polymerization of Polyvinylpyrrolidone by Two-Dimensional Correlation Spectroscopy |

In this presentation, the mechanism of chain transfer reaction during radical polymerization of vinylpyrrolidinone was studied by two-dimensional (2D) correlation spectroscopy. AgNO3 used as a chain transfer agent was reduced to form nanoparticles by the in-situ electron transfer reaction. 2D IR-NMR heterospectral correlation analysis could reveal the mechanism of chain transfer reaction during polymerization. The details of the formation of double bond of polyvinylpyrrolidone will be discussed. |
