Degradation study of anode supported flat-tubular solid oxide fuel cells |
초록 |
Effect of applied current density on the degradation of anode supported flat-tubular solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) was investigated. The flat-tubular SOFC was consisted of nickel oxide (NiO)-8mol%. yttria stabilized zirconia (8YSZ) anode support, NiO-scandia stabilized zirconia (SSZ) anode functional layer, SSZ electrolyte, gadolinium doped ceria (GDC) interlayer and lanthanum strontium cobalt ferrite (LSCF)-GDC composite cathode. Electrochemical performance of the SOFCs was evaluated at 700-800oC. Long-term tests at constant applied current densities of 0.2, 0.45 and 0.7 A/cm2 were conducted at 800oC for 1000h. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) was performed every 100h to analyze the ASR and electrode polarization behavior of each cell. The flat-tubular SOFCs showed fast degradation by means of voltage loss with time at higher applied current densities due to increased electrode polarization resistance and ASR. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was performed to qualitatively and quantitatively evaluate the electrode particles coarsening. |
