Design of polymeric micelles for highly enhanced transfection that reduces polyplex-mediated cellular oxidative Stress. |
초록 |
Recently, the potential toxicity of nanomaterials has received increasing attention, since materials in nano-scale dimensions often display substantially different properties compared to bulk materials with the same composition and may have unexpected adverse effects on tissues and cells. Various inorganic or organic nanoparticles with diameters of a few hundred nanometers have been reported to cause inflammatory responses, oxidative injury, cellular cytotoxicity, or genotoxicity. A major pathway responsible for these adverse effects is thought to relate oxidative stress, which is often the result of excess intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS). In this study, we formulated an antioxidative transfection system minimizing cellular oxidative stress for enhanced transfection. |
