Wireless biosensor coated with conductive boronic acid polymer dots to detect bacteria |
초록 |
Detecting bacteria is very important in preventing infectious diseases. We designed a wireless biosensor using conductive boronic acid polymer dots (B-PD) coated electrodes to detect bacteria. The boronic acid in B-PD binds to the bacterial cell wall via diol-diol bonds. The coated B-PD electrode provides high-sensitivity detection with low LOD values of E. coli = 100.8 CFU/mL and S. aureus = 101 CFU/mL by observing changes in conductivity after bacterial attachment. In addition, it is possible to check in real time with a smartphone simply by using a wireless sensor using Bluetooth. Our biosensor has shown excellent performance in detecting bacteria in real environmental samples with good selectivity for bacteria even in the presence of interfering compounds.
