제목 Effect of support of Mg-Ni-Mo catalyst on upgrading of bio-tar in supercritical ethanol
초록 Lignocellulosic biomass is widely considered an alternative to petroleum fuels due to their low nitrogen and sulfur content and CO2 balance of almost zero. Among various conversion technologies of lignocellulosic biomass, pyrolysis is one of the most promising thermal conversion in the absence of O2. However, pyrolysis oil from pyrolysis thermal conversion of lignocellulosic biomass results in high acidity, water content, low heating values, and high viscosity. Therefore, the research of new methods for the upgrade of pyrolysis oil is a top priority. In this study, catalytic upgrading of wood sawdust pyrolysis oil in supercritical ethanol was performed. The various types of supports including activated charcoal (AC), KOH-treatment of AC, SBA-15, and KIT-6) with Mg-Ni-Mo active metals were screened to investigate their effects on the product yields and properties, i.e., elemental composition, heating value, water content and acidity.
