3-Dimensional block copolymernanostructures for improving efficiency of GaAs solar cells |

One of the key issues in solar cell industry is improving efficiency. Fabrication of graded-index antireflection coating is the promising methods for improving the efficiency of solar cell. It is conventional for fabricating for graded-index antireflection coating to control the porosity of inorganic material by reactive sputtering. However, the processing cost is high and efficiency has limit to be improved. In this paper, a new process for the formation of graded index antireflection coating for improving GaAs solar cell device is reported. We fabricated multi-layer structure via cross-linkable block copolymer P(S-r-ketene)-b-PMMA. We also controlled the fraction of sacrificial block (PMMA) to adjusting the porosity of each layer. Using cross-linkable block copolymer, we could fabricate well-defined multi-layer structure. Moreover the processing of graded antireflection coating via cross-linkable is in the simple way with low cost. |
