제목 Development of high strength glass ceramic material for recycling of steel industry wastes
초록   A variety of slags and industrial wastes from the steel industry were used to develop glass=ceramic material. Six different compositions were designed to compare the properties. Each sample was treated in one-step or multiple step heat treatment. The characterization of samples were made with chemical analysis, XRD, DSC and SEM. To check the physical strength , compression strength and microhardness were measured. XRD showed that diopside and anorthite are the primary phases. Gehlenite phase was found in CaO rich samples instead of anorthite, and the anorthite was formed only in SiO2 rich samples above 43wt%. DSC profile showed that produced glass-ceramic materials have glass transition point around 700~750 oC, the crystallization peak around 850~950 oC and multiple melting peaks around 1150~1250 oC. Compression strength of glass-ceramic was 300~700 MPa. The samples with anorthite phase wer stronger than others which have gehlenite phase instead of anorthite.
